(starring Madame) Co-starring Rick Skye. Pianist Ricky Ritzel.
February 2 – 4, 2012
Before there was Paris, Lindsay or Britney, there was Madame! The world’s most infamous diva is back in all her glory with a new man on her arm, and the same biting wit that has made her a cultural icon. “Today to become a celebrity you need a million dollar stylist and a pricey publicist. In my day, all you needed was a cheap pair of knees pads!” Madame with an E is a hilarious romp through the life of a legendary lady. Part Broadway musical, part autobiography, this multi media valentine to show business combines the double-entendre comedy material of the beloved puppet-character originally created by Wayland Flowers, with up-to-the-minute current event commentary and dishey gossip about Hollywood celebrities past and present. The show, filled with songs both original and classic, showcases Madame’s very blue sense of humor and is for adults only. “For anyone interested in seeing the rebirth of a nightclub legend (and hearing jokes about sex, drinking and husbands) the show is a must-see!” – The Press of Atlantic City

A reclusive librarian finds a book 123 years overdue and he’s compelled to embark on a worldwide quest to track down the borrower and in the process uncovers a mystery that transcends the ages. or is he just mad?
Star Tribune theater critic, Graydon Royce, picked it as:
ONE OF THE BEST PEFROMANCES OF 2009 IN THE TWIN CITIES
“LINTEL is seductively entertaining. O’Brien crackles with intensity. He has reached deep inside this odd duck for an honest portrayal that wastes not a single tic, sly wink, or aside. He finds more in the script than Berger perhaps ever intended, and the play is richer for it.”
