The Creative Institute’s Advanced Improv Scene Workshop

Saturdays, May 14, May 21, and June 4

This 3 session Workshop is designed for the experienced improviser who is looking to dig deeper into their scene work. We will work on the key components for adding depth to your scenes: character and point of view, emotions, environment and space work, and moving scenes beyond the surface. Through exercises and discussion we will explore each students place and connection to their scene work and equip them with new insights and tools to take their scene work to the next level.

More About John Haynes, Instructor

John Haynes has been actively studying and performing improvisational theater for over 25 years. Previously the Director of the Brave New Institute at the Brave New Workshop, he is currently the Director of The Creative Institute at the Actors Theater of Minnesota. John has performed and taught nationally as well as coached several performance improv teams. He is part of the improve duo Police, Cop, Detective, PI and also the creator of the solo improv structure “Voices in My Head.”
